NoodleTools: Finding the right URL

IMPORTANT

Make sure you copy the correct URL! Always look for a link labeled something along the lines of "permalink", "permanent link", "persistent link", "record URL", "durable link", "bookmark", etc. Only copy the URL from the address bar if no other link is available. See screenshots below for instructions for each database. 

URL - for articles from the ILC Search

For the "ILC SEARCH" box, use the PERMALINK URL.

URL - for articles from EBSCO databases

For EBSCO databases, use the PERMALINK URL.

URL - for articles from Gale databases

For all of the GALE databases, click on "GET LINK" to get the URL. 

It will open up a new window with the URL that looks like this.

URL - for articles from CQ Researcher

 

Use the URL titled "Document URL" found at the very bottom of the page.

 

URL - for articles from Issues & Controversies: Facts on File

Use the URL titled "Record URL" found at the very bottom of the page.

 

URL - for articles from SIRS researcher

Use the link provided in the "CITE" tool for SIRS Issues Researcher.

URL - for articles from ProQuest

Use the URL in the address bar for ProQuest.

URL - for articles from ABC-Clio

Use the URL in the address bar for all ABC-Clio databases.

URL - for articles from JSTOR

URL - for articles from Salem

Use the URL in the address bar for Salem.
